A 5-minute walk from the sea, Portmellon Cove Guest House in Mevagissey is just 9 minutes’ drive from the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also less than 30 minutes from the Eden Project, this luxurious guest house offers free parking and Wi-Fi and an award-winning selection of breakfasts.

Each room includes a Smart TV, an Echo Dot smart speaker, a fridge, minibar and tea and coffee facilities. All have an en suite shower, and some rooms also have bath. Each bathroom has underfloor heating, towels, bathrobes and toiletries.

The guest house has a spacious garden with patio area, with direct access from all rooms. All rooms have views of the sea.

A full Cornish breakfast is served, along with fresh kippers and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. The continental-style buffet offers yoghurts, cereals and fresh fruit, as well as homemade marmalade and granola.

Portmellon Cove Guest House is around 7 miles south of St Austell, with Fowey and Truro both just over 30 minutes’ drive away. Newquay’s Fistral Beach and the fine restaurants of Padstow are 45-50 minutes away on Cornwall’s northern coast.
